Gabriel-Chemie presents digital application for colour matching including virtual assistant at the Fakuma 2018

Innovation is key to the continued and progressive success of a business. In any industry today, it is important to keep up with the dynamics of the markets and the ever-increasing demands of our customers. The Gabriel-Chemie Group therefore focuses on investing in development and research. The company bundles its resources and competency to take further important steps towards digitization and Industry 4.0.

MASTER OF COLOURS & GABi

To guide customers through the world of masterbatch and the product discovery process faster and more efficiently, the browser-based and mobile application Master of Colours has been developed. It is the first tool to be released as part of the Master of Batch platform by Gabriel-Chemie. At this year's Fakuma, the digital tool will be presented, which will enable many daily colour requests to be answered within a very short time. With GABi the users also have a virtual assistant at their side.

The intelligent search-algorithm finds suitable products based on common colour systems or standardized colour references such as RAL and is also able to recognize colours and propose appropriate products using the X-Rite Color-Eye® System via a smartphone camera.
The Color-Eye calibration card enables accurate colour measurement on Apple and selected Android phones, removing variation caused by lighting and camera differences.

Dosage, temperature stability and light-authenticity are just a few processing parameters that can also be filtered.

"Master of Batch provides quick digitized access to our masterbatch world. Customers can quickly and easily select their products to shorten product development and time to market. The fact that we can demonstrate long-term cooperations with established global companies such as X-Rite speaks for the pioneering direction of Gabriel-Chemie, "says Lukas Houska, project manager Digital Colours.

"We are excited to work with Gabriel-Chemie, addressing their customer challenges to find colour match's across their product ranges" says Matthew Adby X-Rite Portfolio Manager.

FURTHER FAKUMA HIGHLIGHTS

  • The latest colour concept Colour Vision N° 19 presents, in the form of plastic lens plates, innovative colours, effects and surfaces in selected polymers. Under the headline topic of responsibility, we understand a conscious, future-oriented responsibility in economic, political and social terms. But the past also plays a big role because it inspires the nostalgic timeline collection and takes us on a journey back to the 1970’s.
  • The laser marking process will also be shown live at our Fakuma booth.
  • Values and highest demands in the ethical and health-conscious domains are represented in the newest product, the halal and vegan masterbatch ranges. In order to optimally preserve the quality and transparency of the masterbatch composition, the company-group uses the globally recognized Halal certificate from the organization HQC, Halal Quality Control. With these certified standards, Gabriel-Chemie can offer certified masterbatch that demonstrates an awareness of sustainability within society.
