Gabriel-Chemie used the most important industry event of this year as an opportunity to present the new Colour Vision series to the interested trade audience for the first time. The creative source of inspiration in the world of plastics was making its debut this year at the K 2016 in Düsseldorf. 36 opaque plastic lens plates present innovative colours, effects and surfaces in the PP and SB polymers.

 

Trend experts are constantly researching changes in society and the associated trends in colour. Based on these observations, the Gabriel-Chemie colourists collaborate with experienced trend scouts to define the colour concept which best reflects the spirit of the times. Extraordinary marble effects employed in new polymer developments display an imaginative range of colours with an expressionist look and a harmonious effect. This innovation has never been seen in the plastics sector before and has been achieved solely thanks to the extremely high level of expertise of the Gabriel-Chemie colourists. The Colour Vision series, which is popular among brand manufacturers, creative designers of consumer products and plastics processors, is dedicated to three contemporary themes

 

More Than Ever | Just For Me | Perfect Imperfection

 

“MORE THAN EVER” describes a new form of hedonism, a current lifestyle trend of modern society. It is a countertrend to an environment dominated by bad news. The escape from restrictive systems, the development of creativity and the freedom of self-design lead to an increased zest for life and people taking more enjoyment and pleasure. The colours of this theme captivate with their optimistic, brilliant colour impressions, impressive contrasts and combinations of the two. Elegant shades of gold with matt surfaces enhance the value of each plastic object.

 

“JUST FOR ME” stands for the growing need for peace and harmony in an ever faster moving society. Self-determination and control of your own environment are primary objectives. The colours of this theme show balance, distance and restraint, while at the same time displaying elegance and a subtle value. The use of special metal-effect pigments gives the colours a stylish appearance.

 

“PERFECT IMPERFECTION” was inspired by the shapes and structures formed by nature over the years. Previously unachieved effects in plastic such as marble veins, wood grains, oxidation processes and stone surfaces astonish the experts. Perfect Imperfection stands for provoked individuality, controlled randomness and an imaginative range of colours.

 

The most spectacular of all Colour Vision editions had their own dedicated themed space at the Gabriel-Chemie trade fair stand at K 2016, where interested visitors received advice on the special features of individual colours and effects and encounter and experience Colour Vision close up.
